Privacy Policy — Circle: Family Care

Círculo is an app for a family coordinating the care of an aging parent or a loved one with a chronic illness. Because the app handles health information about a person who often isn't the one holding the phone, we explain in detail what we store, who it is shared with, and how it gets deleted.
Who is responsible
Círculo is developed by Damián Oliva (Deepyze), an independent developer. For any privacy question, or to request deletion of your data, write to doliva0089@gmail.com.
What we collect
Your account. Your name, your email address and, if you sign up with email and password, a password we always store hashed (bcrypt) and that nobody can read, including us. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an identifier and your email from that service and never handle a password. You may optionally add a profile photo and a phone number.
The care recipient's information and the circle's content. This is the heart of the app and you enter it yourself: the care recipient's profile, their medications, schedules and instructions, the dose log (taken or skipped), the care journal with symptoms, mood, notes and incidents, medical appointments and calendar events, assigned tasks, the messages in the circle's private chat, and any documents you upload (prescriptions, lab results, insurance cards).
Notifications. If you enable them, we store a device identifier (push token) so we can alert you about medication, tasks, appointments and messages, along with your preferences for which alerts you want and during which hours.
Subscription. If you buy Premium, we receive your subscription status from RevenueCat: which product you bought, whether you are in a trial, when it expires and whether it renews. Payment is processed by Apple: we never see or store your card or billing details.
What we do NOT do
We do not sell your data or your family's data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not track you across other apps or websites. Círculo contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. We do not use your health information to train artificial intelligence models.
How we use the information
We use this data solely to make the app work: showing the members of your circle the medications, calendar, tasks, journal, chat and documents; sending the reminders you asked for; generating the doctor-ready report; and unlocking Premium for the whole circle when one member subscribes. We also use it to answer you if you contact support.
Who it is shared with
With the members of your circle. This is the most important thing to understand: everything you enter into a care circle is visible to the other people invited to that circle. That is the purpose of the app. Only invite people you trust, and keep in mind that you are sharing another person's health information.
With service providers. RevenueCat, to manage subscriptions. Apple and Google, for sign-in and, in Apple's case, to process payment. Apple's push notification service, to deliver your alerts. And the server and database provider that hosts the app. Each receives only the minimum needed to do its job.
With no one else. We do not share your information with third parties unless legally required to by a competent authority.
Responsibility regarding the care recipient
By entering another person's health information into Círculo, you represent that you have their consent or the legal authority to do so. If the care recipient, or someone representing them, wants their information deleted, write to us and we will remove it.
Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing. Access to a circle's data is restricted to the members invited to that circle. No system is infallible, but we treat this information with the care that health data deserves.
How long we keep data
We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and the content you created. If you were the only person in a circle, the entire circle is deleted along with its medications, journal, documents and messages.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, export or delete the data we hold about you, and you can delete your account from within the app itself. Write to doliva0089@gmail.com and we respond within 30 days.
Children
Círculo is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we update the effective date shown above and, if the change is significant, we notify you inside the app.
