Privacy Policy — MeetVault: AI Meeting Notes
Also available in: ES
This Privacy Policy explains how MeetVault: AI Meeting Notes ("MeetVault", "the app"), published by Deepyze, handles your information on Mac, iPhone and Apple Watch.
Summary
- MeetVault has no account, no servers and no backend. We (Deepyze) do not receive, store or have access to your recordings, transcripts, notes or any other content.
- Transcription (Apple Speech) and AI features (Apple Intelligence / Foundation Models) run entirely on your device.
- The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs.
- If you enable iCloud, your meeting data syncs between your own devices through your private iCloud database, which only you can access.
Information the app processes on your device
To work, MeetVault creates and stores the following locally on your devices:
- Audio recordings of your meetings (microphone and, on Mac, system audio from the call). Audio files stay on the device that recorded them and are never uploaded.
- Transcripts, summaries, minutes, tasks, decisions, follow-ups, questions, risks, people mentioned, quotes, timelines, markers and notes generated from your recordings or written by you.
- Answers to questions you ask about a meeting ("Ask your meeting") and links between related meetings. These are generated on-device.
- Custom AI prompts and meeting context notes you choose to write.
- App preferences (language, settings).
This content is not "collected" by us: it never leaves your control and is never sent to Deepyze or any third party.
Permissions and how to revoke them
MeetVault asks for permissions only when you use the related feature. You can revoke any of them at any time in System Settings / Settings → Privacy & Security (on Mac and iPhone) or in the Watch app:
- Microphone: to record meetings.
- System audio recording (Mac): to capture the other participants of a video call.
- Speech Recognition: to transcribe audio on-device.
- Calendar: to show upcoming meetings and, only when you tap "Add to Calendar", to create an event from a follow-up.
- Reminders: only when you tap "Add to Reminders", to create a reminder from a task.
Calendar and Reminders data is read and written on your device through Apple's frameworks and is never sent to us. If you deny or revoke a permission, the app keeps working without the related feature.
iCloud sync
If iCloud is enabled for MeetVault on your devices, meetings, transcripts and generated content (not audio files) sync through Apple's CloudKit private database of your Apple Account. This data is stored by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy and is not accessible to Deepyze. You can turn sync off in your iCloud settings at any time.
Apple Watch and iPhone
Recordings made on Apple Watch are transferred directly to your paired iPhone through Apple's WatchConnectivity. The iPhone sends a compact summary of recent meetings back to the watch. No intermediate server is involved.
Sharing and export
MeetVault only shares content when you choose to: exporting a PDF, sending an email or using the system share sheet. The recipient and the destination app are chosen by you.
Purchases
MeetVault is a one-time paid app. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we do not receive your payment information.
Data retention
Your content is kept on your devices (and in your private iCloud, if enabled) until you delete it. We do not keep any copy.
Deleting your data
- Delete a meeting in the app to remove its audio, transcript and generated content from that device and, if sync is on, from your other devices and your private iCloud.
- Delete the app to remove all local data from that device.
- To remove synced data from iCloud, delete the meetings in the app or manage MeetVault's data in your iCloud storage settings.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our side; you are always in full control.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal data. Since all data stays on your devices and your private iCloud, you can exercise these rights directly in the app. For any question, contact us at the address below.
Children
MeetVault is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
Data on your devices is protected by Apple's platform security (device encryption, App Sandbox). iCloud data is protected by Apple's iCloud security.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
