Privacy Policy — Migraine Diary Tracker
Also available in: ES · PT · FR
Short version
Aura keeps your health data on your device. We do not run servers, we do not have accounts, we do not collect your diary, and we never sell or share your data. Your migraine records leave your iPhone only when you choose to share or export them.
1. Who we are
Aura ("the app") is developed by Deepyze. This policy explains how the app handles your information. Contact: privacy@deepyze.com.
2. Data stored on your device (not collected by us)
Everything you log lives in a local database on your iPhone: attacks, intensity, symptoms, medication, triggers, sleep, stress, menstrual-cycle entries (only if you enable them), notes and generated reports. If you create multiple profiles, each profile's diary is a separate local database on the same device. This data is never transmitted to us — we have no server and no database that could receive it.
3. Optional features that use the network
- Weather & barometric pressure (off by default). If you turn it on, the app sends an approximate location (rounded to ~10 km for privacy) to Open-Meteo to retrieve local weather at the time of an attack. No personal identifier is sent, and the coordinates are not stored on any server of ours.
- Subscriptions (RevenueCat & Apple). If you subscribe to Aura Premium, purchase validation is handled by Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. They process a purchase identifier necessary to manage your subscription. This never includes your health data.
- Apple Health (off by default). If you enable it, the app reads your sleep data to pre-fill your daily log and writes your migraine episodes to Apple Health as "Headache" entries. This exchange happens only on your device, through Apple's HealthKit, and is governed by Apple's own privacy protections. HealthKit data is never used for advertising and is never shared with third parties.
4. Features that never leave your device
- Face ID / passcode lock. Biometric authentication is performed entirely by iOS. The app only receives a yes/no answer — it never sees or stores your biometric data.
- Reminders. Daily and smart reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push servers are involved.
- Reports and insights. PDF reports, statistics and correlation analysis are computed on-device from your own diary.
5. What we do NOT do
- No accounts, no login, no email required to use the app.
- No advertising, no ad networks, no tracking SDKs, no analytics with personal data.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of your data.
- No use of your health data for marketing or profiling.
6. Sharing is your action
PDF reports, CSV files and JSON backups are created on your device. They leave your phone only when you explicitly share, print or export them, and only to the destination you pick (email, messaging app, Files/iCloud Drive, your doctor, etc.).
7. Backups
The app may store a local automatic backup file inside its own container. If you have iCloud device backup enabled, that file is included in your personal iCloud backup, under your own Apple account — we have no access to it.
8. Children
Aura is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Your control
You can export or permanently delete all your data at any time from Settings → Data. Deleting the app also removes its local database from your device.
10. Medical disclaimer
Aura is a personal tracking tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a healthcare professional.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the app.
